stars in the shape of a heart in the night skyI have experienced many “losses” throughout this human existence… Yes, many, many losses. Yet, one thing I am sure of, is that regardless of the pain and frightening feelings which so often accompany loss… I have gained so much on the inside of me.

With each loss, rather than building a wall of self-protection, I have peeled away layer upon layer of anything worldly–I have allowed loss to shed the layers, to strip them from my being, as I continue on this journey of revealing more and more of my spirit… my soul.

I have discovered that life here on earth is a continuous play of simultaneous loss-and-gain.

Anytime we lose something of value to us, no matter how painful, we will find a spiritual gain out of this loss.

Please take some time to think about this… think about any loss you have experienced in this lifetime… and then think about any gain that has come from it. You may see this clearly right away, or you may have to really take some time, but I promise you will always find your gain out of any loss.

And, my feeling is that, when we can see this, it makes loss just a bit more bearable, understandable, and we can use it to help others in some way.

I would Love to have you share your experiences or thoughts here, and I will share mine.

I Love you ALL…

  • I think each person or event comes into our lives with a lesson. I try to embrace that lesson, and keep positive.

    • Thank you, Damyanti! So looking forward to it. And yes, agreed, I feel that each experience we encounter comes to us with soul-growing lessons. Keeping this awareness truly makes a difference for me. It’s all about attitude and perspective… and always… about responding from a place of Love. =)
