Follow Your Heart…

Published April 8, 2014 by Jamie Barone

Written for a friend who has spent the past few years feeling pressured to follow what everyone around her encouraged her to do with her life… and now… feels uneasiness and regret at having followed a path that felt wrong for her. I would also like to add that, it is never too late to rewrite our own story.

drA most beautiful, yet, often painful lesson learned, is when we come to the realization of how important it is to follow the guidance of our own heart, to make sure that we are making our life choices based on that of our own passions and heart desires, our own dreams and life purpose, and not that of others.

We have each been triumphantly born on this planet to live our own life journey, and not that of another.

And please know, that, while it is wonderful to gain insightful wisdom from those who have gone before us, it is always important to follow our own heart, our own innate soul wisdom… we each have this… we each have this “knowing”, it is with us all along, throughout our lifetime, and I would go even further to say that it spans far beyond this lifetime. It is always there. And truly, it is up to us to follow our own life purpose… our own dreams… regardless of the opinions of others. We deserve nothing less… nothing less!

What makes us come alive?

What makes our soul sing?

What lifelong dreams never die?

What brings fulfillment, joy, and peace to our being?

We deserve nothing less… nothing… less.

Love,
Jamie
